Birth and Education: Vikram was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He pursued a degree in English Literature from Loyola College, Chennai, and later completed an MBA.
Family: His father, John Victor (also known as Vinod Raj), was an actor, and his mother, Rajeshwari, was a sub-collector. Vikram is married to Shailaja Balakrishnan, and they have two children, a son named Dhruv and a daughter named Akshita.

Acting Career
Debut and Struggles: Vikram made his acting debut in the Tamil film “En Kadhal Kanmani” (1990). However, his early career was marked by struggles and a series of unsuccessful films.
Breakthrough: His breakthrough came with the critically acclaimed film “Sethu” (1999), directed by Bala. His performance as a troubled young man received widespread praise, earning him the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actor.
